The verandah’s of each cottage sprawl onto the the lawns of the werf, or the wide vista of the mountains. Some of the cottages boast their own fireplaces, perfect for those cooler months.

Select form an extensive, but carefully thought out wine list featuring some of the best wines the area has to offer — including Springfontein, Newton Johnson, Creation, Bouchard Finlayson, Stanford Hills and Raka Winery. It is wine country after all!
4. Scenic Setting
Situated on the Eastern slopes of the Klein Rivier Valley, you can take in all the beauty that this 440ha farm has to offer with its tranquil beauty and rolling green meadows watered by natural mountain springs. Around 250 hectares of the farm forms part of a Nature Conservancy and is covered in a wide variety of fynbos – including a very rare Erica Shannonea. Take in the beautiful setting while sipping on a glass of wine from the comfort of your private verandah.

Go for a dip in the dam and relax taking in the panoramic view, or embark on a sunset cruise on the Klein River with “The African Queen”. Visit the Klein River Cheese factory with their award winning cheese, just 2km away and perhaps buy a delicious picnic lunch there
Go land-based whale watching at De Kelders or Hermanus, followed by a wine tasting at Raka winery just 3km away or beer tasting at the Birkenhead Brewery. Don’t forget to visit the charming Bric a Brac and antique shops in the historic village of Stanford too!
