Bouchard Finlayson's Tutored Wine Tastings Series for 2016

Bouchard Finlayson will be running a series of four Tutored Wine Tastings that will take place at various venues in Cape Town and the Winelands over the next few months. The informal, fun tastings are open to the public and are hosted in small groups of no more than 20 guests.

 

Everyone, from grape novices to wine experts, is encouraged to attend and delve deeper into the world of Bouchard Finlayson wines. Tastings will be hosted by South Africa’s Pinot pioneer, Peter Finlayson, who will share his knowledge and passion with wine aficionados. Offering a highly personalised experience, the small scale of the events allows guests to taste Bouchard Finlayson’s award-winning wines, as well as a few international vintages.

A total of 12 wines will be tasted, paired with a selection of delectable canapés to complete this special experience (cost R250 per person).  
Tuesday 19 April – Cape Town  
Tuesday 28 June – Cape Town  
Tuesday 16 August – Winelands  
Tuesday 15 November – Cape Town    

Themes and locations are still to be confirmed.  The tastings start at 18:00 and run until approximately 19:30. Bookings are essential and can be made on info@bouchardfinlayson.co.za or Tel 028 312 3515. The cost is R250 per person, which includes the wine tasting and a selection of canapés. Wine tasters are welcome to book dinner in the relevant venue following the tasting, for their own account.  

ABOUT BOUCHARD FINLAYSON
Established in 1989 in the temperate Hemel-en-Aarde Valley on 125 hectares (312 acres) of Walker Bay's prime viticultural land, Bouchard Finlayson Vineyard and Winery is a small cellar dedicated to the quality production of Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc. Ever since releasing their first vintages, the name Bouchard Finlayson has been internationally synonymous with excellence. Today, owned by the Red Carnation Hotels’ Tollman family and under the leadership of Victoria Tollman and winemaker Peter Finlayson, 22 hectares (54 acres) of the estate are currently under vine with 50% devoted to the varietal for which Peter is most acclaimed – Pinot noir. Other cultivars under production include Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc and Sangiovese, as well as a handful under exploration. Bouchard Finlayson is an accredited Championship member of the Biodiversity and Wine initiative (BWI).
