How does it work?
 
The lid of the jar has been fitted with solar powered LED lights, and the top of the jar has solar panelling that, when placed in the sunlight, can power the LED batteries. The solar-powered jar supplies up to almost six hours of light before it needs to be recharged in the sun. The jar also contains a ‘switch’ so that the light can be controlled for when you need it.

The Consol Solar Jars cost R120 and are 100% recyclable. On average each Consol Glass container consists of 35% recycled content.
