Cell phone radiation

Cell phone radiationHere’s an experiment that shows radiation being emitted from a cell phone and reflected by pieces of popcorn, causing the phone to come apart. The type of radiation coming out of a cell phone is called non-ionizing, and is similar to that of a very low-powered microwave oven. In this demonstration, the popcorn, similar to light reflecting off a surface,  reflects the radiation without absorbing it. This then causes the cell phone to come apart. This is an interesting exercise to ‘see’ the seemingly invisible effects of radiation emitted from our cell phones.
