Executive Chef, Archie Maclean, has tweaked his special winter alternatives to the full à la carte and tasting menus - perfect for locals to tuck into until the end of August during Cape Town’s long winter season.
The special winter lunch menu offers a two or three course meal, while the three course special dinner menu includes a wine option. The menus offer a choice of at least two dishes per course.
Both menus include delicious roast cream of tomato soup with herb crème fraîche for starters, a succulent 200g sirloin steak for mains, and rooibos crème brûlée and frozen melktert for dessert lovers.
The special lunch menu is priced at R165 for two courses and R195 for three, while the special dinner menu offers three courses at R265 or R295 including wine. With Steenberg’s excellent selection of bubblies, Sauvignon Blanc and elegant reds, there is ample choice for the perfect wine to enjoy with your meal.
