Start your morning with a French breakfast and a glass of Brut Rosé while taking in sweeping vineyard views at Constantia Glen, the magnificent boutique wine estate below Constantia Nek.
Just released, the Rosemarie & Funa Brut Rosé Méthode Cap Classique is available exclusively at the Constantia Glen tasting room. This vivacious Cap Classique with its striking salmon hue is named after Rosemarie Waibel whose father, Manfred, acquired Constantia Glen in the late 1950s, and her beloved Welsh Corgi, Funa.
An exuberant lover of life, Rosemarie spends most of her summers walking her dogs amongst the vines at Constantia Glen. Back home in Austria, Funa, her cherished companion and famous skiing dog of Dornbirn, was always by her side. It was on the snow covered slopes of Lank Mountain, that Funa revealed her agility and showmanship by diving onto the snow and skiing down the hill on her belly to Rosemarie’s great amusement. Funa remained her loyal companion until the ripe old age of 16.
Enjoy this spirited Brut Rosé with one of two French breakfast options available until noon seven days a week at the tasting room. Both are served with a glass of the Rosemarie & Funa Brut Rosé and tea or coffee. Choose between a freshly baked croissant served with cheese and jam at R120 or smoked trout ribbons, dill and lemon crème fraîche at R140.
The Rosemarie & Funa Brut Rosé MCC is available for purchase at a cellar-door price of R250 per bottle.
Known for exceptional cool climate Bordeaux-style red and white wines, Constantia Glen is open seven days a week from 10h00 till 17h00. Look out for the Constantia Glen signs towards the top of Constantia Main Road.
