Frans Groenewald takes a walk on the wine side
The Lighter Side of Wine is a 64-page book that is vividly (and hilariously) illustrated by Frans Groenewald. ‘His work is characterised by unusual word play, fresh colour usage and unique characters such as Basil the chef and his freerange chicken, Benedict. Titles form an integral part of his paintings.’
The text was written by editor of Good Taste and Chairman of Wine-of-the-Month Club , Colin Collard along with Dave Biggs, who is a founding member of Wine-of-the-Month Club as well as a wine expert and writer for the last 30 years.
The enjoyable read the book covers everything from wine basics, to how to pronounce cultivars, to the production process and even food and wine pairing, cellaring and more.
It makes for a fun coffee table book, a talking point at a wine tasting or a wonderful gift for the wine lover (or someone new to wine) in your life.
And, Good Taste is giving away three copies of The Lighter Side of Wine! Head to our Facebook page to enter the competition.
