Smeg Launches Dolce & Gabbana Kitchen Appliances

If pastel pinks and blues aren't cutting it and you're on the hunt for next level food appliances, Smeg has really filled the hole in your sartorial kitchen heart. Debuting at the Milan Design Fair, Salone del Mobile di Milano in Italy last week, is a new collaboration between the appliance giant and appropriately Italian fashion designers, Dolce & Gabbana.

Yes, you can now blend your love of food and fashion with a unique Dolce & Gabbana printed toaster, mixer, blender, coffee machine or stand mixer.

There are five prints in the "Sicily is my love" collection that Ab Fab's Edina would happily give her right arm for. And they all embrace the famous Dolce & Gabbana Italian aesthetic: bright fruits like cherries and lemons of Sicily, florals inspired by the coasts and landscapes of southern Italy; images of Mt. Etna: the ruins of the Greek temple of Castor and Pollux in the Valley of Temples; and the famous trinacria (as seen on the Sicilian flag).

"We are very excited about Sicily is my love. Smeg has once again successfully collaborated with iconic designers bringing beauty and efficiency into domestic kitchens," says Head of Brand for Smeg Australia, Tamara Buchanan.

The fashionable set will no doubt be on the waitlist for these appliances, but they will have to wait a while. The appliances haven't gone into production yet so there is no word on how much they will retail for, or even when they'll be available.
