South African homeware retailer @home is launching a new luxury range in December 2017.The Grace Collection combines Old World glamour and nostalgia with contemporary design. The new top tier collection adds bespoke elegance to the current @home range. It caters specifically for the discerning home decorator who appreciates curated quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail.
“From a trend point of view the collection captures the emergence of Old World glamour and the nostalgia of vintage-‐look pieces that can be passed on as heirlooms,” said @home trends researcher Louise Vorster, one of the team members responsible for The Grace Collection concept.
Design and quality is imperative to The Grace Collection. The colours are neutral, classic and understated, with a hint of drama and opulence. “We wanted to convey what modern, royal interior objects, colours and textures look like,” said Vorster. “Deconstructed luxe, casual grandeur and fine materials combine to make gracious living accessible.”
The Grace Collection is the brainchild of @home team; Louise Vorster (trend researcher), Karen Brumfield (Head of Buying) and Terry Fowkes (Snr Buyer), a dynamic trioof décor specialists.
The elegant look is curated by using luxury fabrics that offer a tactile experience, from Egyptian cotton bedding with fine embroidery, to fragrances, and dinnerware for fine dining.
“Luxurious and textured fabric and material combine to give an ultimate sensory experience that ranges across bedding, bath and living,” said @home marketing manager, Mélanie Bekker. “Although it has its own definitive look, it still lives beautifully on top of thecurrent @home range and can easily be combined with other @home pieces, due to its timeless appeal and design,” she added.
The Grace Collection will be available online and in 16 @home stores on 7 December 2017, just in time for Christmas shopping.
