Feeling a bit sun damaged? Treat your skin with oranges

With all the time we’ve been spending outdoors in the sun this season - and loving it - it’s now time to find a nice, natural remedy to care for our skin and combat the oiliness, heat rashes, pigmentation and sun damage our skin has had to deal with.

We all know that sun damage can lead to premature ageing of our skin, wrinkles, marks, dry skin, and even skin cancer over time. The sun’s UV rays cause our skin’s collagen structure to break down and weaken, leading to - dare I say it - sagging!

So make sure you’re using a daily sunscreen, eating a diet rich in anti-oxidants to help reverse sun damage, and try a regular face repair mask or pack containing vitamin C extracts, which help even skin tone, and Arbutus, which can relieve the skin of damage.

We’ve included a orange peel powder face pack recipe below for you to make at home, that will put you on the path to great, glowing skin. The orange peel has more vitamin C than the orange itself, and it contains anti-oxidants. It is also an anti-bacterial and anti-microbial which will make it great for treating acne and oily skin too. And since it can work as a lightening agent it also helps with pigmentation.

But how do we put it in a mask or pack? Well, it’s actually best in powder form, so this requires a little bit of work from you. Take a look…
