Top Chef Opens Restaurant in Green Point Print E-mail
“South Africa is the country where I have successfully been able, together with my wife Ingrid, to show all my gathered experience and we were fortunate to be recognised and shared amongst the best of the country,” says Camil.

After a number of years in the Winelands, running a guest house and the destination restaurant Bouillabaisse - 2009 is the year to conquer Cape Town for the dynamic couple.
Camil and Ingrid, both of Dutch descent, will jointly run their new restaurant which opened at the beginning of November. The position is the best Cape Town has to offer - along the Green Point strip and just opposite the new soccer stadium. Their chic and funky hostellerie is on the ground floor of the Cape Royale Hotel which in itself has become a landmark in this vibey part of town.
Camil's serves a tasteful selection of crêpes (French sensations pancakes) from 12 o'clock every day except Sundays, which have been “inspired by the romance of the Parisian lifestyle,” says Ingrid.
Opening times Monday to Saturday daily from 12h00 to 23h00 closed Sundays. The Crêpes & snack menu is available for patrons throughout the day.
