The Grace in Rosebank is proud to announce the launch of their new Coffee Menu. Budding tasters, and appreciators of this rare culinary treat, are now able to experience and savour some of the finest coffees available from Africa. Keeping up with booming international trends of ‘cuppers’ as they are known, The Grace’s new coffee menu at R20.00 per cup, boasts different flavours of the coffee bean from several African countries including Malawi, Kenya, Zambia and Zimbabwe.Decadent flavours include a nutty well-balanced aromatic coffee with a subtle bite from Makoka Valley Estate (Malawi) whilst Fairview Coffee Estate (Kenya) offers Arabica, a rich full bodied aromatic offering, yielding current tones and a fresh bite. Isanya Coffee Estate (Zambia) boasts a lively well balanced aromatic coffee with a sweet bite and lastly but by no means least, Crocodile Creek Estate in Zimbabwe, offers a well balanced aromatic coffee with a citric bite. Coffee tasting is an art that requires much experience, but it’s not as hard as you think. Firstly there is the preparation – one needs fresh, hot coffee and cups, as well as desserts or pastries to compliment the bitter bite of the bean. Next, would be the grinding of the coffee beans. Any coffee bean is at its best when no sweeteners or creamer are added. To become an experienced cupper, and to fully develop an appreciation for superb coffee, takes practice, practice, practice. For the ultimate tasting experience cradle the coffee cup, close your eyes, slurp (don’t be shy) and inhale deeply. Enjoy. The best way to kick of your coffee tasting journey is in the Dining Room or lounge at The Grace - where a passion for quality cuisine is celebrated through world-class products. |
