SA's International Wine Success Print E-mail

You have reason to be proud of our local wines: they stole the show at the prestigious Decanter Awards recently—winning 6 international and 12 regional trophies.

The awards highlight the fact that South Africa is a serious and well-respected producer of wines on an international scale. Our wines are gaining popularity abroad and rising sales in the UK have been reported. The UK is responsible for more than a quarter of our total wine exports and with the success of the wines at the Decanter Awards, things should be looking up for the industry.

Trophies such as the International Rhone Varietal Trophy (Over £10) went to Cederberg Shiraz and South African Chardonnays won in both the international under and over £10 categories, showing that not only are our wines value for their money but also able to top quality at any level.
