OAK VALLEY ESTATE has struck both gold and diamond with its 2008 OAK VALLEY PINOT NOIR.

It was awarded a gold medal at the 2009 MONDIAL DU PINOT NOIR in Switzerland—the only South African wine to feature at this event. Over 1 100 wines from 24 countries were submitted to the organisers of the Mondial du Pinot Noir competition, which took place for the 12th time this year.

95 gold medals were awarded, 30 of which went to foreign wines—notably German ones. Locally, the 2008 Oak Valley Pinot Noir also picked up a diamond trophy at the INVESTEC BANK WINEMAKERS’ CHOICE AWARDS.
